🙂 We have arrived at Mae Hong Son.

I walked out of the bus, stretched and turned until my back felt better and then I waited for Dad and Helen to cruise off to find a GH ( a GH stands for Guest House). On the way to the GH we passed a lake full of fish and right beside it was a temple. It was white and gold and it looked amazing. There are heaps of temples in Thailand!!!!

First we went to baan mai guesthouse. The owner Jo was awesome and kind. She fed us an amazing breakfast of fruit, toast and jam, coffee and hot chocolate. Her cat was SUPER CAT!!!!! We enjoyed being there but we decided we would move on the next day. BAAM!!!! We found Johnnies-Guest House right on the lake. Super price and super people. We’re going to stay here for a couple days and we have the NIGHT MARKET!!! 2 min walk away from home. We have been to the river to go swimming, went to the temple up on top of the hill to watch the sunset  and this morning we went to the local market and got noodles and a crepe. Mae Hong Son is a very calming town and has very friendly people.

I just wanted to tell you about some of the things that are coming up soon. Angkor Wat, Ayutthaya, learning to scuba dive and going to Ko Jum.

We woke up in the morning in our bungalo made of bamboo. I stretched and yawned. Then I packed my big blue bag because I knew we were going to Mae Hong Son.

We went down the road about 200m to a nice cafe to get breakfast. For my breakfast I had toast with butter and jam+banana’s. It was yüüüüm.

Then we went to the bus station to catch the bus to Mae Hong Son. We got to the bus station and Helen remembered she had left her tablet at the Cafe, so she dropped her bags at the bus station and went back to the Cafe to get her tablet. So me and Dad hung out at the bus station. We made friends with Popcorn, a stranger from near Mae Hong Son. He tried some tricks on us to get money. It didn’t work.

Helen came back from the Cafe. We met another pair of strangers but they were nice. Their names were Yaan and Jaia. They were going to a little town just before Mae Hong Son, so they were on the same bus as us.

We got on the bus and found our seats. We started off through Pai and up into the mountain side to Mae Hong Son. It was very slow but fun. Most of the way I was talking to Jaia. The mountains were shaped like legs and big mounds of ice cream. They looked Awesome. So on we putted very slowly up a hill and just made it over the top and then rolled down the other side. It was nice and FUUUUUUUUUUUUUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had one military check point and I got to see the big guns.

Then we were off again to the next pit stop. We had food at the next pit stop and I had a sausage and some mandarins and we were speeding off into the distance towards Mae Hong Son. We were 35 KM away from Mae Hong Son when Yaan and Jaia got off at the little town. I said bye to Yaan and said “I hope I see you again” to Jaia.Then off we went to our destination 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 THE END:-) 🙂 🙂 🙂

We got a mini bus to Pai and on the way….it was very jugglery and pot holey and hurtful. I ate loooooooooooooooad’s of dried mango yüüüüüüm. I felt relieved when we got Pai.

We went for a walk to find a place for tomorrow because we already had a place for tonight. We saw some fishermen in the river with nets. The nets had chains around the bottom of the throwing nets so they would sink around the fish when thrown. I really wanted to get in but when I went to get in I saw a huge lizard in the grass right beside me so I didn’t get in.

Dad went to get a place to stay so he wasn’t there but Helen was, so we took pictures of each other until Dad got back then we went up the road to get to where we were sleeping today.

So we went and put our bags at the place that we were staying and went back to town to the night market to see what was happening there. We had dessert there and looked around. There were some people trying to get money for education. We gave them 20 baht. They looked sad but became happy when we stopped to listen. After the market we moved on chugging our way back to home. 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

So we have been in Thailand for a week now and I’ve been enjoying it alot. The tuk-tuk’s are just awesome and so are the red trucks. So far we have been to the zoo, Thai embassy, Indian embassy, Night bazaar, market’s, and Chiang Mai Inn and many more places.

Thailand is very different to NZ in many ways. Ex: they have a different culture. Thailand’s main religion is Bhuddism. Bhuddism is about respecting all things and finding peace within yourself.

The Thai people are very friendly but the thing’s they eat I didn’t like at all. Ex: cockroaches, maggots, toads, cat fish, eel’s, snail’s, rotten fish and many more. But I did find some food that I did like…. Chicken and pork noodles, fried rice and pork, fresh coconuts and meat sticks yuuuuuuuuuuuum 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

I am going to try and guess how many scooter’s there are in Chiang Mai. 1,2, miss a few, 10,999, 1,000,000. They are everywhere. They maneuver through the traffic like they are never going to get hit. Same with the dog’s and the cats/the strays. They are living in the middle of the parking lots, hanging around the inns and every where else.

I thought my first week in Thailand was pretty cool. Bye!!¡

The night before last Dad discovered a wart on my finger. We realised that they were spreading from my foot to my fingers. That was the beginning of the WART PICKERS!!!!!!!!!!! First we went to the mall on the other side of Chiang Mai. It was a long walk to the mall. But it was pretty awesome because of all the scenery and cars.

We got to the mall and went up THE ESCALATORS. We found where they used to be but the wart pickers clinic wasn’t there so we asked some random stranger for help. It turned out it was one of Helen’s old friend’s from where Helen used to work in Chiang Mai. She told us where to go. So we took a red truck to the other mall on the other side of Chiang Mai. (A red truck is a type of taxi in Thailand). The other mall was called Central Festival. MORE ESCALATORS YAAAAAAAAAAAY. So we got to the other mall and  asked the information desk if the wart pickers were at the mall. So they were. We went over to them and asked if they could take off my warts. They said no because they didn’t have the right equipment. So we went back down the escalators to the pharmacy to see if thay had any wart acid for my warts. What a relief!!! We went to the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar. (The night bazaar is a huge night market in the middle of Chiang Mai). I thought it was pretty cool but TOYS TOYS TOYS EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!! I wanted to buy a cap but it was 297 Baht. I got an iced coffee instead. I learnt how to use Chopsticks. I picked up my dads spoon. It was fun at the night market and it was 10:30 but it felt like 5:00 in the morning or something. So I went back to the hotel and slept till 6:00 in the morning. I went and got breakfast and it  was porridge 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂  with chocolate and Pancakes. It was yüm. We kind of walked around for the whole day. It was pretty awesome but that’s the end of my day.:-) 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

Hello from Chiang mai. This place is awesome. We went to the zoo yesterday. It was so cool :-). We went in to the flamingo’s first. The people were draining their pond to get all the feathers and poo out. We went and saw the Hippo’s. We fed them. Their teeth were so sharp it was awesome. We fed them some type of grass. It looked like celery. I didn’t like the big hornbills being in tiny cage’s or the crocs and alligators having no water but the rest of it was awesome. Ex: koala’s’ monkey’s, bears’, panda’s, tigers, lion’s \cubs, big cat’s and bird’s. It took us 6 hours to walk around the whole thing so when we got back to the hotel I was too tired to get dinner but I had to so we went and got pad thai. I didn’t like it at all so we went home and went to bed.

In the morning I woke up and went outside to get breakfast with Dad and Helen. I had a omelette tortilla for breakfast and went back to the hotel. Then we were off in a tuk tuk.(a tuk tuk is a motorbike in a cover thing with a couch at the back).I love tuk tuk’s they’re awesome! Next thing you know we’re going to the Thai embassy. Dad and Helen had their photos done there, then we took another tuk tuk to the  Indian embassy. They were really mean to us.

We went into the city to relax.

We had to wait six hours in Auckland to get on our flight because we arrived 8:30 in the morning and left just before 3pm.

It was really cool on the plane because they served the best food I’ve tasted on airlines in the world. The movie’s were really cool. I watched Big Hero Six, Mars Needs Moms and Monster University!!!!!!!!!!!!

We landed. I was really, really tired.

Got to our hotel and CRASHED!!!!

In the morning we woke up and turned on the TV. Every show was in Thai language and it was boring.

We went to the cafe and saw some big piranha fish in the river. It was really murky.

We had an agreement about the flights to Chiang Mai instead of getting the train.

We drove in the van to the airport and looked at the travelators!!!

We had noodles and got advice from the information centre. We took a bus to another airport. I thought that Bangkok looked sad because the land was taken over by skyscraper’s.

And so we arrived at the another airport, Don Mueang. It took one hour.

We went in and got a drink and went through check in. I had to eat alot of lunch. Boy, my dad pushes me hard, what a slave driver when it comes to food!!!¡!!!!

Went upstairs… UP THE ESCALATOR!!!!!!

I saw a baby gecko. It was really cute. I played with it for a moment, then I put my back to the wall and started doing my blog.
